Roco Kingdom System Requirements and Best Settings

Official Roco Kingdom PC and mobile requirements, plus the settings to change first for a stable frame rate in the global beta.

Last Updated: 2026-10-27

Roco Kingdom's official beta requirements are steeper than the art style suggests: 16GB of RAM and a GTX 960-class GPU on PC, and a 30GB install on mobile. The good news is that the game scales well enough on the settings that matter, and the first three changes below recover most of a struggling frame rate.

These are the official Quack Quack Test requirements. The launch build can change them, and the console versions are not part of the beta.

Official PC requirements

Component Minimum Recommended
CPU Intel i5-7500 / Ryzen 5 1400 Intel i7-9700 / Ryzen 5 3600X
GPU GTX 960 2GB / R9 380 2GB / Arc A380 RTX 2060 / RX 6600
RAM 16GB 16GB
OS Windows 10 64-bit Windows 10/11 64-bit
API DirectX 12 DirectX 12
Storage 45GB 45GB, SSD preferred

The 16GB RAM floor is the spec most laptops fail. If you have 8GB, the game may launch and then stutter as the open world streams in. Close the browser before you play; it is often the difference between 45 and 60 fps.

Official mobile requirements

Platform Minimum Recommended
iOS iPhone 8 Plus or A11, iOS 15, 3GB RAM, 30GB iPhone 12 or A14, iOS 17, 6GB
Android Snapdragon 660 / Dimensity 720 / Kirin 710, Android 9, 4GB, 30GB Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 / Dimensity 9000 / Kirin 9010, Android 10, 8GB

Mobile storage is the hidden gate. A 30GB install needs free space for the download plus the patch, so keep at least 40GB free before you start.

The first three settings to change

Exact menu labels can differ between builds. If a label is not present, skip it.

  1. Shadows. Drop from high to medium or low. Shadows are the most expensive setting on a mid-range GPU and the least important for gameplay.
  2. Volumetric clouds and fog. Turn down or off. They look great in screenshots and cost a surprising amount in an open world.
  3. Crowd and vegetation density. Reduce one step. The game's fields are full of Jinies and grass; density affects both CPU and GPU.

If you are still below 40 fps, lower the resolution scale before you lower texture quality. A slightly softer image is better than muddy textures at the same frame rate.

What to leave alone

  • Draw distance: lowering it too far makes Jinies pop in late, which hurts capture and traversal.
  • Texture quality: keep it at medium if you have 4GB+ VRAM; it is cheap and visible.
  • Anti-aliasing: keep a basic form on. Edges in a stylized game shimmer badly without it.

Laptop and handheld notes

  • Plug in. Most laptops throttle on battery, and an open-world game will expose it.
  • Set the Windows power plan to performance.
  • Cap the frame rate at 60 if the game offers a cap; an uncapped frame rate heats the GPU and causes thermal stutter.
  • Do not run the game from a mechanical drive if you can avoid it. The 45GB install streams constantly.

Handheld PC support is not confirmed for the beta. If you try it, expect to lower every setting and accept a 30 fps target.

Diagnosing a bad frame rate

Symptom Likely bottleneck First fix
Low GPU usage, stutter in towns CPU Lower crowd density, close background apps
High GPU usage, fans loud GPU Lower shadows and clouds, cap fps
Long freezes when moving Storage or RAM Move to SSD, close browser, check 16GB
Crashes on launch Driver or DX12 Update GPU driver, verify files
Flickering videos Known beta issue Skip the video or wait for a patch

The official known-issues list acknowledges flickering videos, missing voice lines and untranslated text. These are beta issues, not a problem with your PC.

The Unstuck command

If your character gets stuck in terrain, the official workaround is:

Settings > Graphics > Unstuck

Use it before you relog. Relogging can drop you at a distant point and waste travel time.

The Vitality bug

Accepting a main quest and then moving or teleporting can set Vitality to zero in the beta. Check the bar after a teleport, especially before a boss attempt.

A 10-minute stability test

  1. Stand in a town with other players for two minutes.
  2. Ride a mount through grass for two minutes.
  3. Enter one battle and use a high-effect skill.
  4. Check the frame rate in all three.
  5. Change one setting and repeat.

Changing five settings at once tells you nothing. Change one, test, repeat.

Where to go next

If the client is unstable in one zone, the map guide notes the busy areas; the beta FAQ lists known issues; the beginner guide covers the first settings check.

FAQ

Can my PC run Roco Kingdom? If you meet the GTX 960 / 16GB minimum, yes at low-to-medium settings. A 4GB VRAM card is the practical floor for a stable 60 fps.

Is 8GB RAM enough? The official minimum is 16GB. 8GB may launch but will stutter in the open world.

Is the game on PS5 or Xbox in the beta? No. Consoles are planned for launch, not this test.

How big is the download? 45GB on PC and 30GB on mobile, per the official FAQ.
