Roco Kingdom Map Guide: Regions, Routes and Teleports
Navigate Carosia efficiently: region order, tower and teleport unlocks, mount upgrades, weather statues and the exploration loop that pays.
Roco Kingdom's world, Carosia, is built around a simple exploration loop: enter a region, activate its tower and teleport point, unlock the local traversal tool, then sweep the map for captures, chests and rare-seed stages. Players who skip the tower and teleport spend the next ten hours walking.
This guide covers the route order, the traversal upgrades and the map systems that matter. It does not reproduce the full interactive map; for spawn locations and full region data, use the companion wiki.

The exploration loop
For every new region:
- Activate the tower. It is usually the region's tallest landmark and the anchor for the local map.
- Activate the teleport point. This is the node you will use for the rest of the game.
- Capture the local mount. Water, flight or land, whichever the region requires.
- Sweep the roads for new species. First-time captures are experience.
- Open the sealed chests. They need a matching elemental throw.
- Check the rare-seed stage. It is the repeatable encounter tied to your missing dex entries.
Do this before you chase side quests. The unlocks make every later quest shorter.
Route order by level band
| Band | Region type | Main goal | Traversal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–10 | Starting kingdom and outskirts | Story, starter, first capture | On foot |
| 10–20 | Farmland and river valley | Water mount, first teleport chain | Water mount |
| 20–30 | Highlands and ruins | Flight, rare seeds, first bosses | Flying mount |
| 30–40 | Snow and dragon country | Home loop, awakening materials | Flight plus land mount |
| 40+ | Endgame zones | Legendary encounters, weekly bosses | All mounts |
The exact region names in the global build are still being confirmed. Use the landmark order rather than a name you saw in a Chinese guide.
Mounts: the real progression system
Traversal is not cosmetic in Roco Kingdom. The Chinese version ties different terrain to different mounts:
- Water mount: crosses rivers and lakes without drowning. Duckiji is the early option shown in official material.
- Flying mount: the starter bird line becomes flight-capable after its later evolution in the Chinese version. Keep the bird even if it never fights.
- Land mount: a fast ground option around level 26 in the Chinese version, useful for long roads and collection routes.
- Special mounts: some Jinies jump, glide or climb in ways that skip puzzles. The chicken-like mount's multi-jump is a known example.
You do not need every mount. You need one answer for water, one for air and one fast ground option.
Mounted travel automatically gathers nearby materials in the Chinese version. Some Jinies expand the gather radius. A traversal mount with that trait turns every route into income.
Weather statues and sealed chests
Two map systems are easy to miss:
Weather statues
Some ruins have elemental statues. Throw a matching Jinie at the statue to change the local weather:
- Water Jinie: rain.
- Earth Jinie: sandstorm.
- Ice Jinie: snow.
Weather-specific Jinies then appear. This is the intended way to complete those dex entries; waiting for natural weather is slower.
Sealed chests
Some chests are buried and marked by a sparkle; others are sealed with an elemental mark. Throw a Jinie of the matching element to open the sealed ones. This is why capturing one Jinie of each element early is useful even if it never joins your team.
What to do when the map feels empty
The open world is large and the quest density is uneven. When a region feels empty:
- Check the tower for an undiscovered teleport node.
- Look for a rare-seed stage near the region's main settlement.
- Follow the rivers; they connect most regions and hide water routes.
- Climb the highest point and look for chest sparkles.
- Switch to a weather you have not tried at a statue.
The map is designed around verticality and elemental interaction, not a checklist of icons.

Co-op and the map
You can visit a friend's world, ride together and share gathering and combat experience. That makes co-op a map efficiency tool, not just a social feature:
- A friend can open a sealed chest you cannot.
- A second mount can cover a traversal gap.
- Shared experience makes a route worth repeating.
The co-op guide covers the friend requirements and etiquette.
Map completion: what actually matters
Do not chase 100% icons. Chase the unlocks:
- All towers and teleport points in a region.
- One mount per terrain type.
- The rare-seed stage and its unregistered species.
- The region boss and its material.
- The sealed chests on your main route.
Cosmetic collectibles can wait. A teleport point saves time every session; a chest gives a one-time reward.
Common navigation mistakes
- Skipping the tower. The teleport network is the single biggest time saver.
- Ignoring the water mount. Rivers are not decoration; they are gates.
- Flying everywhere. Some captures and chests require you to dismount and throw a Jinie.
- Waiting for natural weather. Use the statues.
- Treating the Chinese map as final. Region names and spawns can change in the global build.

FAQ
How many regions are in Roco Kingdom? The Chinese version divides Carosia into five major regions separated by rivers. The global beta exposes the opening regions first.
Is there an interactive map? Not an official one at launch. Community maps and the companion wiki cover spawn data; this site focuses on routes and systems.
How do I unlock fast travel? Activate the tower and teleport point in each region. The exact UI label may differ in the global build.
Do I need a flying mount? It saves a large amount of time, and some regions are built around vertical traversal. Keep the starter bird leveled even if it is not in your battle six.
